Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a sea creature? To swim in the ocean, breathe underwater, and have scales and fins? To be able to transform into a human on land and take the form of a sea monster underwater? Well, you’re not alone.

With its stunning and colorful visuals, Pixar’s Luca will make you crave a summer vacation in an Italian town, filled with gelato, sun-kissed beaches, and picturesque landscapes.

Luca Paguro, the protagonist of Pixar’s Luca, is a young sea monster who's curious about the world above the surface. He lives with his parents underwater, where he's forbidden from going near the humans who live on land. But when he meets Alberto Scorfano, another sea monster boy who lives on an island, he decides to take a leap of faith and explore the dry world with him.

On land, Luca and Alberto can transform into human boys when they are dry, but they revert back to their sea monster forms when they are wet. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for them, as they dream of buying a Vespa and traveling around the world. They also befriend Giulia Marcovaldo, a spirited girl who lives in the nearby town of Portorosso, and join her in competing for the Portorosso Cup, a triathlon that involves swimming, cycling, and eating pasta. However, they must also avoid being exposed to the water or by the town’s bully Ercole Visconti, who is determined to win the cup and hunt down any sea monsters he sees.
