Something Is Missing - A Poem

Something is missing,

My heart is aching.

It's like no matter what I do,

My heart remains so blue.

 

I search for contentment,

But I can't seem to find.

A piece that's missing,

It's left me so blind.

 

I seek a joyous life,

But it won't come to me.

As darkness surrounds the day,

Leaving me empty.

 

Something is missing,

Though I don't know what.

Nothing satisfies my soul,

My heart just stays shut.

 

My dreams seem foggy,

My spirit is worn.

I can't seem to fill the hole,

My heart so forlorn.

 

Something is missing,

And I'm still searching for ease.

But how can I find something,

When I don't even know the key?
