Yes for Peace! - A Poem

In a world filled with hate and strife,

Where the cries of the innocent cut through life,

I long for a day, 

A day of peace,

Where the wars cease

And all hearts release.

Why must we fight?

Why must we kill?

When love and kindness could heal.

All lives matter, every single one,

From the richest to the poorest, everyone,

For we are all human, we are all the same,

And our differences, they should not be a game.

So let us stand together, hand in hand,

Against the forces that seek to divide,

Let us strive for peace, with hearts united,

For all lives matter, and all lives decide.

Oh, for the day when swords are beaten into plows,

And the lamb and the lion learn to cuddle and know,

That we are all one, we are all the same,

And the love we share will forever be the same.

Let us dream of a world in harmony,

Where all people live in perfect symphony,

Where the sound of guns is a distant memory,

And love and laughter fill the atmosphere.

Yes for peace! Enough with the blood,

Enough with the massacres, it's time to stop,

Let us find a way to live in peace,

For the future, and for all our release.
